My god she , in my opinion and in matter of my taste, is and was the most beautiful woman, past or present, there is. Period. In myopinion. Maybe its just that im a petite beautiful blond(in whatever order) kind of guy.

I believe her name was Jill Haworth. I used to see her in some other movies and she was very cute and attractive. I think she actually was married to the producer of "The Outer Limits" Joseph Stefano. You can check that for accuracy.

It wouldnt surprise me if stefano was married to her,((i think most italian guys like myself prefer beautiful BLONDES-(wish i had one now lol)-))However, I looked up his bio on imdb, and his wife was a marilyn, married since 1954 until his passing-so i dont think he and jill haworth were together.I didnt know he wrote the screenplay for Hitchcocks 'psycho'-he must have been real good in his field. The surprising thing i found is when i clicked on his wife Marilyn's bio(there was no info there), but the star meter or popularity thing imdb does said she was up 158 percent. Yes one hundred fifty eight percent. I have no clue why.

She was 17 in this episode. I highly doubt Stephano was married to her.

Watch her in "Exodus". She has a very important role in the film and is a real standout, especially in her scenes with Sal Mineo. I think it's her best work, but I don't recall her ever delivering a disappointing performance, even in "It!", co-starring Roddy McDowall.

wow - i had tge same thought exactly - she is the most beautiful girl i have ever seen - its gutting knowing that this episode was filmed so long ago!!

reply

Jill was so gorgeous in that episode

She and Sal Mineo were seriously romantically involved in and around the filming of Exodus. She was quite young at the time. I would imagine she was some kind of "emancipated youth" or the British equivalent of such. Her angelic face would come to grace other Preminger films such as The Cardinal and In Harm's Way.

I hated it when in her guest star role in The Cardinal the girl was going to become a nun which is bad enough for a pretty girl, worst yet a nurse for the sick & dying.

She was very pretty/cute and photographed very well. I loved her role.

It seems that everyone who sees this episode has the same reaction, and for good reason. She was unbelievably gorgeous. The late 1950s/early 1960s were a high water mark for beauty in Hollywood, not reached before or since, but even at such a rich period, Kathy stands out as extraordinarily beautiful.

It was also the specific hairstyle that they gave her for this episode. An authentically Irish/U.K. look, and very becoming on her.

reply

Her beauty was so PURE and innocent!!! She knocked my socks off.

She died of natural causes at age 65. Sal Mineo 'ruined' her when she was 15. I don't blame him one bit.
