So, the Lt. made $400k in the stock


market, and sent it off to buy property and materials. The property cost roughly $10k. The materials for the craft and all the gadgets cost roughly $600. Where did the other $389,400 go? My guess...Johnny's mother, the orphanage, the hospital, and the place where the two black kids came from.

$400,000 in 1964 would have been like $4 million in today's terms. At LEAST.

Why do you say the materials for the craft only cost $600? The electronics, the size of the craft and the furnishing for the interior...well more than $600.

But I do love your idea that a lot of the money went to the orphanage, hospital, etc. It fits.

And some men in those days could round up those kids with a white econoline van and some candy and kittens for a LOT less. 😲
