Balotelli...Aguerooooo! I swear you will never see anything like this ever again!

Sad news. He was a part of television history, being in The Daleks.

Interestingly enough, 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of when I first saw him in The Daleks. Might be a good reason to dig out the DVD and watch it again.

The odd thing is, I had it in my head he had already passed a few years ago.

You may be thinking of John Lee (Alydon) who passed away in 2000.

It's a shame to lose Philip Bond. He was my favourite guest character in 'The Daleks'.

I think Virginia Wetherell (Dyoni) may be the only guest star left from that story now.

With Philip's passing, I have wondered just how many people involved with the original 13 episodes of Doctor Who are still with us.

I'm not sure exactly, but off the top of my head I can think of:

William Russell
Carole Ann Ford
Waris Hussein
Richard Martin
Frank Cox
Jeremy Young
Virginia Wetherell
David Graham

Ian, Susan, and the Dalek voice were the only 3 I could think when I tried to compile a list. At least it's good to know there are a few others.

sad, but dying while on holiday in Madeira sounds like a pleasant way to go. I remember him well from The Onedin Line, He was very good in that.
