Put this back on Television

Now that Mr. Barry is enjoying popularity with his Bat Masterson series on Encore Westerns, isn't it about time Burke's Law was reinstated for another run on television? I'd love to get to watch and tape these incomparable shows. I doubt TV Land would put it on as that channel is useless nowadays, catering to shows from the 80's and 90's, but maybe American Life Network. Or maybe even Encore could telecast it on its Mystery channel, instead of all those second rate mediocre movies.

I completely agree. It was one of my favorite shows.

I agree too. I wrote to TVLand, The Hallmark Channel and I can't remember who else, trying to get this back on television. The Nostolgia Channel used to run it but I have no idea if that channel still exists. If anyone has any ideas, please post them here. Thanks.

The Nostalgia channel has morphed into the American Life TV Network. This channel is on a number of cable systems and still runs a good deal of old shows including all the old Warner Bros. detective goodies - 77 Sunset Strip, Surfside Six, Bourbon Street Beat and the like. Thank goodness for that as I get my fix of these shows every Monday night. But I have not seen Burke's Law in a number of years and it is way overdue to be back on television. They don't make good detective shows anymore like the old days, and Burke's Law was a premiere detective show.

TV Land and the other channels don't like to show the oldies from the 50's and 60's anymore - they put up junk from the 80's and 90's, which was crap the first time it came out. I wrote TV Land also and told them they need a 2nd feed with a channel that just concentrates on oldies from the 50's and 60's - I don't think there is enough support for it anymore however. So we're left to starve waiting for the few oldies to pop up here and there.

Christopher, that is fantastic news and we will look forward to upcoming information on its release. Try to get as many episodes as possible.

Also, checked out your website and you have a lot of material on there. Is there any way to do a search for information/listings for just "classic TV" shows that VCI offers? I couldn't seem to determine that information.

Thank you.

Wow! Sign me up!

If this does well, you might also consider releasing the one-season HONEY WEST with an absolutely luscious Anne Francis!

Are you considering any extras? Gene Barry is still around!

If you have an e-mail list, put me on it!

Good call on Honey West. Haven't seen that shown on television either in decades.
