Got a hold of a sketchy black and white copy of The Doll and can firmly catagorize it in the "disturbing" section. Per Oscarsson rehearses his later role in "Hunger" and spins a crazy weave of lonely insanity. A mannequin comes to life, or does it? Many other movies use this theme; but think of Polanskis, "The Tenant" and the Twilight Zone story of the store mannequin, and there you have it.
