I MUCH prefer the 1939 version of this film.

THIS one....I sat there and said "THIS is NOT the way the story went! Not the way Shakespeare wrote it."

Vincent Price does give a better performance as the Duke of Clarence in the 1939 version. I would say that it is the first really good portrayal that he did. But I like him as King Richard in this one as well.

I felt a little disloyal saying this but so did I. It's just a better film.
