Beautifully done. The sequence was created 54 years ago (as of this writing), but the font, graphic design, and photography would look perfectly up-to-date in a movie produced this year.

shareI agree completely. The opening titles caught my attention immediately. Elegant and modern.

it adds an element of surrealism. During that summer in the 30's Scout and her friends have several growing and learning experiences re the trial and Radely---when they could just be playing w toys and carefree.

Yes, last time I saw it, it was streaming so I saw it from the beginning. Who knows the last time I saw it from the start? Used to catch it partway through, airing on TV. I was struck by how sophisticated and modern the opening titles looked as well.
Just about everything about the film is perfect. It's really an amazing work.
