Fog
Good businessman Corman doesn't mind recycling sets, but using fog to hide them was over the top.

I dug it. I'm pro-fog in horror movies. I'm sure your cynical observation about hiding the sets has some validity, but it also gives a great, spooky look and atmosphere to everything.
My name is Rufus, and that's the trufus.. .
Sorry so late for the response, Book. Don't get me wrong, but I LOVE Corman & know he's a good businessman. I was in high school drama. Students painted a HUGE cane brake curtain for "South Pacific" years b4 my time, so tried to work in ANY play. But I also bet fog helps cover the stuff on the stage like cables, etc.

I think the atmosphere in this movie is amazing. One of the best AIP Poe movies.
