Caught most of (last half) this early, early this morning (late, late last night) and want to rent to see from the beginning. Found all of the characters to be perfectly cast, and especially like Franciosa and Nettleton.

I stupidly didn't set the timer right (or something like that), so I wasn't able to tape it. I will definitely track down a legal copy of it somewhere. I have heard a lot of positive things about this movie, and I would love to see it!

~ Luckily, my Mother knew I've been wanting to see this movie for along time and she found out that TCM was going to give & she recorded for me while I was at school. She surprised me with it and I was so glad she did it. Becasue I love the movie alot. It was just like the play, very witty & enjoyable.

I tried to record it when it was on TCM, but I managed to mess up the timer or something and it didn't record. I haven't lost hope yet. I'll still get a copy of this movie. :)

cute fun movie, very enjoyable, fonda is kind of a knockout but i was more hooked on the actress from the twilight zone episode "the midnight sun", another actor here from that same series ("sounds and silences", "the bard"). when the leading man makes the call to a party it looks like gomez was picking it up.

start early in the morning,
maya with drinks before the rooster callin,
in the afternoon when the clock strike four,
knows everyday you got to be out cold,
i no longer can keep up,
port & stout, beer and wine, you've turned into a lush,
and all i can do is watch,
as you've had a few and not near to stop.

Yes, that's John McGiver and John Astin. I've never seen "Sounds and Silences", nor "The Bard". Thanks for the heads up. 
