I saw this movie a few times last year and enjoyed it. I watched it last night and loved it even more. I'll be watching it again tonight.

Unfortunately, my DVR went on the fritz and didn't record Period of Adjustment during its first airing in early December. I had to watch it on VHS because I didn't want to wait until the 23rd when it aired again to see it. I recorded it on the 23rd as well, and this one I'm keeping for next year. Beautiful little film, as always. Criminally unappreciated.
That’s a very interesting mixture of poetry and meanness.
I had some trouble recording this movie last year. In the end, I got a copy from someone. I saw it about three times last Christmas season and three times this Christmas season. Lovely movie!

I just watched it again, first time since last December.
Something tells me that I'll be watching this movie several times this Christmas season. Last year it was four times, I think. This year it might be more times.

I like how you do this annually, haha. I watch it every year, too. I typically watch it earlier than the 20th but that's how it all worked out this time. It's perfectly seasonal. I could see why it would be a nice starter in late November for the start of Christmas season.
shareStrangely enough, I've only seen it once this Christmas season. I guess I'm just busy watching other Christmas films and doing things outside of movie watching. I'll try to catch this film a couple more times later this month. Wonderful, wonderful movie!
