Remastered version on TCM

Great news on this film!...........even though the DVD hasn't been released yet ( Warner is apparently going to release it in Oct.'06 ). TCM showed the movie today ( Feb 28th ).......and showed a 'remastered' version of it, complete with the original Overture, Intermission, and Entre'act title cards. The film was also presented in a more wider aspect ratio than any other previous video release. It looks superb! By far the 'best' version I have ever seen of this film. I can't wait for the DVD!!

I saw it and it was an amazingly clear, crisp and beautiful print.. but what was really impressive was the gorgeous stereophonic sound. It honestly sounded surround. I also have to say that the music score by Kaper was probably his best work. Gorgeous! I have to say I really like this version, though more "Hollywood" in feel, than the Gibson version. It was truly epic and lush.
