My July 4th Treat

I watched this again for my 4th of July entertainment and was charmed and enchanted all over again. One of the best Broadway-to-Hollywood transfers, not just in its fidelity to the stage version (enhanced by the usual "opening-up") but in the excellence of its casting, performances, and production. It really captures the energy of the show.

My family and I just watched it again to mark the holiday, like you. Oh, there's nothing halfway about the "Music Man" way to treat you . . .

I love this!!! I myself ALWAYS try to watch this on July 4th!!!
The first time I saw it was indeed on July 4th, 1980...when NBC showed it as a special.
