The set for the library was re-used.

Shooting after "The Music Man" on the Warner lot in 1962 was a movie called "Rome Adventure" starring Suzanne Pleshette and Troy Donahue. Some of "Rome Adventure" was filmed on location in Italy but many interiors were filmed in Burbank, among them, the bookstore located on the Piazza Novana in Rome where Pleshette's character worked. Her entrance to the book store was filmed in Rome, the interior was the book store from TMM redressed to look like a book store in Rome. Note the distinctive spiral staircase in both films.

...in the finale of the 1/25/63 episode of "77 Sunset Strip" "Terror in Silence", in which Stu Bailey helps a deaf librarian fight off some bad guys who think she has overhead their plot, not knowing she is deaf.

The Music Man and 77 Sunset Strip were both Warner Brothers productions. Doubtless you can find the library set in other productions as well. Look for the spiral staircase!
