To put it another way, a movie made today about the Cuban Missile Crisis would be going back further in history than this movie did.

Thank you VERY much for realizing that... as I was born a month before the CMC. When I was growing up, Vietnam was being broadcast during dinner every night, WWII was just "a few years ago" and WWI was right before that - heck, the Civil War was not quite 100 years earlier. One Hundred years didn't seem so long back then. Now, WWI is coming up on 100 years ago and it seems like a millennia.
