Broadway/movie actor Craig Bierko for role of Harold Hill for NBC

I have read NBC will be airing "The Music Man" as their next Live production show for 2015.

The role of Harold Hill is the most important role and the casting of this character is pivotal to the success of the production, IMHO. He may not be a household name but......I've seen Craig Bierko in the 2000 Broadway revival of "The Music Man". I was expecting to be disappointed in anyone who had the role of Harold Hill simply because that role is owned by Robert Preston. I honestly did not think anyone could possibly duplicate the magic Preston created in that role. I was so wrong. Craig Bierko was incredible as Harold Hill. I'm not sure if he was attempting to impersonate Robert Preston but he certainly did embody the character just as Robert Preston did.

Craig Bierko has the speaking voice, voice inflections and singing voice that sound just like Preston. Bierko's movement and mannerisms also echo Robert Preston. NBC should seriously consider casting Craig Bierko for the role of Harold Hill.

Believe me, I'm not related Mr. Bierko or know him personally. I truly appreciate his talent and I have no doubt he would be the perfect Harold Hill for the live production. I just hope this talented man would be available to perform the role for the live NBC production.

Here is Craig Bierko performing two of the numbers from the show......
