shareI love Mathew Broderick as Leo in "The Producers" but do agree that he was not right for the role of Harold Hill.
I've been wanting to see Craig Bierko reprise his Broadway revival role of Harold Hill and this would be the perfect vehicle for the masses to see how fantastic he is as Harold Hill. You would think you are listening to and watching Robert Preston......no lie! The only thing that may give Mr. Bierko away is that he is more handsome than Preston.
I've perhaps been fortunate enough to not have seen the Broderick version, but even thinking about it...the only role in this I could see him playing would probably be Marcellus.
