I'd love to see this again. When will it be on?
Does this film show up on TV anymore? I'd love to see it again and record it to watch again over the years.

C'mon- it's a "one of kind" CLASSIC- break down, get the DVD. Or- Blu Ray.

Even the "Special Edition" of it which I have, makes you feel you are watching a live performance. I never fail to start marching around the room. I felt like I am one of the "Seventy-Six Trombones," lol. I even screeened it for a group of people and we ALL wound up marching around the room!!! I scored a beautiful copy of the movie off of Amazon.

Well, let me know when, and I will fly in to wherever you are with a group of "Music Man" fans, and we call ALL march around your basement to "Seventy-Six Trombones." Those highbrow Broadway elitist types went marching around the theater in 1957, when Preston belted out the song, so why shouldn't we, now?

Typically around July 4 every year on TCM.
shareIt ran tonight on my local PBS station.
How sad, that you were not born in my time, nor I, in yours.
And my local PBS station aired it within the last month! The station always airs a Saturday night movie, and they were on a musicals kick.
shareFolks, check out Amazon.com, they have "The Music Man" for just $8.88 now. ----- I bought my DVD of the movie back in November 2000 at Border's Book Store for just $12.99. I've loved the movie ever since 1967 to the present when I was in "A" Choir high school (67-69)and we sang the songs so many times at school assemblies. ----- I watch the movie at least once a year. ---------- Off Topic --------- Border's Book Stores closed back late in 2011. ----- And that was so sad. ----- The stores always had a huge selection of DVDs and CDs, and most of them were very reasonably priced, but those days are long gone.
shareAnd for those who want to use brick-and-mortar stores, Barnes & Noble is likely to stock it as well. Disclaimer: I'm neither a member nor an employee of B&N.
shareYou just missed it on TCM.
