I am just trying to find out where Kid Galahad (1962) was filmed? Dose anyone know?

It is playing on TV right now as I type this, and I came on to find out where it was filmed and BOOM!, here we are. Beautiful mountains and redwoods.

Idyllwild could be it, but it sure looks like Yosemite to me. Exaclty like Lake Tahoe/Yosemite area.

This popped on my DVR this weekend (from my Elvis auto record search). I haven't seen this film in years. It looked really good on MGMHD, and it was a much better movie than I remember. While I was watching, I wondered where it was filmed. Thanks for the info!

The hills and the trees are a beautiful setting for the film but what doesn't work is the time of year for when Galahad trains for the big fight is summer (between Independence Day and Labor Day)even though it's so obvious from the orange and yellow leaves that it was filmed in early autumn.
