Kind of funny

how the astronauts are not surprised to see girls from their past on Uranus. They act like they're running into former girlfriends at the local bar rather than encountering them on a distant planet.

I mean, would you be more like: "HOLY *beep* Is that YOU, Ingrid????!!! What the sam hill are you doing on URANUS???!!!! How the heck did you get here??? OMG!!!!!!"

Instead, the guys are like: MEH. We'll hook up again real soon. LOL.

[But I do enjoy this goofy blast from the past].

Maybe yet another case of producers cynically cashing in on the "outer space stuff." Suppose this kind of operation is the equivalent of an "A" minor league team. Your right. Unintentionally funny. to me, parts were a bit boring.

I thought the funniest line was when they said that in 2001 there was no longer anymore war....in 2001.

Yes, the prophecies made at the beginning of the movie, spoken by the narrator in 1962 about what the situation of Earth would be in 2001, turned out to be enormously amusing...
