Galaxy of Terror/Journey to The 7th Planet

Galaxy of Terror/Journey to The 7th Planet are basically the same film, just a few bathing beauties away from a complete dedication to the 1962 film.

From the DVD commentary, Galaxy of Terror was supposed to be an "Alien" clone, which after viewing, I suppose they were more chasing the coat tails of the Sci-Fi money machine. Either way, it could have been better.

I too live and die by the crystals. Good call, and it is likely safe to presume that Galaxy writers Siegler &/or Clark were aware of 7th Planet. Roger Corman certainly would have been and also may have had a role in suggesting its ideas as a framework upon which to stretch the Alien-inspired material.
