Anyone else find the scene where he was crying about it to be a little sad? Watching that, I get the feeling that Pockets hasn't had too many victories in his life.

I think it was not that he haden;t had many victorys in life it was just that when it came to doing stuff while working there they guys didn;t think of him for anything other than driving because as he put it he likes the animales but they didn;t like him and he didn;t do anything that had to do with them other than drive and he felt like the guys didn;t think he did much around there and not to mention he was drunk lol.

Although Red Buttons and Hardy Kruger are excellent, John Wayne's acting in this particular scene is quite marvelous. Very believable, completely natural, and funny.
