Was Tarantino...(spoilers kinda)
...inspired by the final fight scene when directing the Bride vs. Yakuzas scene in Kill Bill Vol.1? Cause that's all I thought of when watching it.

Since no one ever says it...watch Truffaut's The Bride Wore Black. That is largely where Tarantino stole the plot of his movie from. People always point out he ripped off Lady Snowblood but the Truffaut movie actually predates the Lady Snowblood book and movie by several years.
Either one is better than Kill Bill in any case.
