Howard Keel Should Have Performed 'The Day of the Triffids' Theme Song!

Nearly twenty years ago, Howard Keel, appeared in a television commercial for "The Greatest Hits of Howard Keel," an album featuring many of the songs Mr. Keel had performed in his numerous, noteworthy film musicals.

In addition, to the songs that Mr. Keel sang in "Seven Brides For Seven Brothers," "Kiss Me Kate," and "Callaway Went Thataway," I kind of wish that Mr. Keel HAD recorded a title song for "The Day of the Triffids."

Imagine how stirring it would have been, to have heard the stentorian Mr. Keel, intoning a plaintive ballad concerning these nasty killer cornstalks from outer space!?!
