the very good looking Steve Boozer played "Chip", the guy at the juke box. his scene was brief.

the audio quality of the copy i have of "Carnival of Souls" (acquired legally!) is poor. but i swear Chip says to Mr. Linden, about Mary Henry, "She's not like the pigs you bring in here".....did he really say "pigs"???

i think so...i was floored. i just didnt expect that kind of misogyny, and in such an ugly way. i mean, 'pigs', really!

I am glad a lot of people enjoy this movie. i first saw it in the early 2000s, and again very recently as part of a 50 classic horror film collection a friend got for me as a gift.

I really thought he said 'that's not the kind of picks' maybe I'm wrong.
I will watch it tonight and listen carefully.

According to the subtitles, he did indeed say "pig".

Yep, he said "pigs", he's a completely worthless sleazebag, so it's expected I suppose.

Yes he did say "pigs" which is very misogynistic, but it's also an insult to his buddy regarding his "usual" taste in women. They were obviously both sleazebag types.

Yeah, he said pig.

One of the compelling things about this movie is the sleaze. The heroine lives in a sleazy world. Even the church is sleazy.

In those days, at least in some parts of the U.S., "pig" was what we today would call "slut"--a "fast" woman, as opposed to a "nice girl".
