Absolutely a great movie. It grabs the claustrophobic athmosphere of the man-of-war's all-male world perfectly. Don't expect sex scenes, but there are homosexual undertones. In this adaptation, Vere is above suspicion (would he be more attractive, I'd have doubts, but not for Ustinov), but Claggart clearly lusts after Billy. However, he cannnot get what he wants. :D
