Both starred Henry Fonda and were made only a couple years of each other. What I find intersting is how secret homosexual behavior of a political figure would play so prominently in BOTH films. I guess in the 60's the scare shifted from red to pink.
What a run Fonda had in just a few years: nominated for Sec. of State in '62 in A&C; Gen. Teddy Roosevelt Jr. on a Normandy beach in Longest Day in '62; running for President in Best Man in '64; then he is President that same year, having a VERY bad day in Fail Safe. (He'd been Lincoln many years earlier.)
I have seen enough to know I have seen too much. -- ALOTO
I've often thought the same thing! Not to mention Hank got to be President again, on another bad Earth day, in 1979's Meteor, for which I trust he was well paid.
