Now on Hallmark
Back to back episodes Saturdays at Midnight ET
shareThank God The Hallmark Channel has brought back this classic Western series!
This coming weekend,I will not miss it!!! Completely restored from the original archives and brought back to life in glorious Technicolor the way it was meant to be seen!! I wish these episodes were available on either Video or DVD!!!
I will be watching............Besides anything's better than that stupidical piece of bull crap from both Saturday Night Live and MAD-TV!
Unfortunately, Hallmark is showing the Virginian in a time compressed format. It is difficult to recognize the voices of the actors and the accelerated movement of the horses and actors is hard to watch. This was not the way the series was intended to be seen.
shareIt really doesn't surprise me that "The Virginian" has been shown in a time-compressed format. After all, it was unique in the 1960s because it was the first 90-minute Western on network television. I'm sure TV people today will try their best to run the episodes in an hour or so.
shareIs that the "Hallmark" on Sky Tv in the UK? Because I can never see it in the listings and would love to watch again in the UK!

I've seen the great 'Cimarron Strip', W/ Sturat Whitman, on TBS, I believe, in exactly the same format. It's infuriating.
shareCan anyone explain why they would cut it down to 1 hour instead of showning it in its entirety?
shareProgramming restrictions. This happens a lot. It is a disgrace. I hope you have signed the petition to get the series released on dvd. Uncut.

Is this the "Hallmark Channel" on Sky, in the UK?
It would be great to see this ex-BBC2 western again (shown on Beeb2 in it's early years, when it was a brand new channel). It was (is) a classic.
Needs to be shown in a 90 minute slot though.
But, does anyone know - is this the 'Hallmark' channel on Sky??
