I queued for nearly 3 hours all the while terrified that my car was going to be clamped at any minute! All worth it though to meet Mr. Drury and get (about 7!) pictures taken with the man. He was indeed a lovely man and a real pleasure to meet him. Fair play too to the girl taking the photos for everyone - it was a long day for her too! The only downside was when I got home and put my signed 8 * 10 print on the mantelpiece to see how it would look there when I framed it - it promptly slid down the narrow gap between mantelpiece and wall!

It was great to read your post MicealJ, and the one by danielw06, about meeting James Drury.

Were you able to rescue your photo? Sounds like he had a lot of fans wanting to meet him if you had to wait for 3 hours or more. It would be nice if he got to visit Australia one day.

Lots of photos and reports of his irish visit on www.the-virginian.com forum

Still haven't rescued that photo I'm afraid, may need to take down the whole fireplace - well there's bound to be other stuff down there as well!
