I just purchased a book called 'A History of Television's The Virginian 1962-1971' by Paul Green. It's quite expensive, but very comprehensive and contains interviews with James Drury, Doug McClure's daughter, Tane (who appeared in the episode 'The Small Parade'), Gary Clarke, Pippa Scott, Roberta Shore, Randy Boone, Katherine Crawford and John Saxon among others. I am delighted to have a book about the series at last.

I didn't like this show as a child, but the western channel was showing it during the holidays and I'm kind of getting into it now. I never knew, for instance that Betsy turned out not to be Judge Garth's biological child.
