Why no DVD in the UK?

Thats sums it up really - this was a great series - so where's the dvd?

I wish that they would put it on dvd also. I think it is one amoung the best weterns that ever was on tv in the 60's and early 70's. I loved it. I think they shoul put it on dvd or Encore Weterns. That way we who have dvd recorders can record it.

I am thinking of starting a fan forum to campaign for a DVD release of the show, if anyone else is interested.

I am so surprised to read that! When I was in England years ago, I went to Virgin Record store and was amazed at the amount of titles available in the UK that were not in USA.

I understand that 'The Virginian' was a very popular show in Great Britain (didn't Queen Elizabeth II change channels from Monty Python's Flying Circus to watch 'The Virginian'?).
