Vera Miles true beauty

I have seen this episode three times since the 1960's,but "Portrait of a Widow"really got to me today...via Encore Western Channel.
The focus was on this truly magnificent actress whose career I have casually followed for decades.
Vera Miles beauty is striking from every camera angle. Her character was sitting for a portrait being done by John Gavin's wonderful portrayal of a" "High Society" French painter.
Lee J.Cobb and Betsy are around alot, but you do not see much of Mr.Drury,Trampas and the gang.
My little point was to remind anyone who is a Vera Miles fan.

You know how to get right to the heart of the matter. The Virginian always
seemed to be able to get the most beautiful actresses around and Vera Miles is a
true classic!

"Can I ask a dumb question?"
"Better than anyone I know!"

I liked that episode very much, and Vera Miles was lovely in the role of the widow. John Gavin was also great (even with the fake French accent).

"What do you want me to do, draw a picture? Spell it out!"
