Questions about the DVD episodes

Could of questions

1) Is the starting theme as complete as it was with it first aired. My memory recalls a longer intro (about 1 minute), but the episodes shown on cable always start with Lee J. Cobb (or whomever). I recall there being a longer theme lead-in to where the opening credits start.

2) Are the episodes on DVD full lenth as they were during the original run, or are they edited TV versions that are several minutes shorter?

Thx

Greetings:

I have the first two seasons and the episodes run a full 74.5 minutes. I believe they are full length.

1) The theme became longer in later seasons, but the first three had a shorter intro (as seen on the DVD).

2) The episodes are "full length". They would have been 90 minutes on television, due to commercials.

How funny is it that they only had about 12 to 14 minutes of commericals per 90 episode? Nowadays you get 5 minutes of commericals for every 10 minutes of show you watch.
