'The Small Parade'

This is one of my favorite episodes of The Virginian because of Tane McClure. Tane appears as Betty, one of the smallest of the orphans in the episode. Doug McClure's face lights up whenever she is in a scene with him. Doug's pride in his 8 year old daughter is beautiful to see. It was Tane's first credited acting job, and she continues acting today. I hope that she remembers this wonderful experience with her dad.

She was 3 years old in this episode, not 8. I read an interview with her where she said she remembers that she had a hard time distinguishing make believe from reality while doing the show. That is a very sweet episode due to Doug's scenes with his daughter. You could see the special bond between them.
