Celia's Waltz

I saw the "Executioner" episode for the first time on METV about two nights ago and in every movie that I watch, I also always listen to its music.

In the scene where Celia starts to dance under the evening stars, a haunting refrain is played. The same tune which to my ears sounded very familiar fades in and out on two other similar scenes.

The soft music from that scene kept playing in my mind so I did a little research in my library. I have a small collection of soundtracks and I thought I should check what I had under my Percy Faith records.

It didn't take long for me to find "Celia's Waltz", on PF's "The Love Goddess" album. Except for Mr Faith's name, no other details about that song is listed in the movie credits but it might be safe for me to guess that Mr. Faith must have been inspired and wrote that song for "Celia" herself... otherwise known as Ms. Colleen Dewhurst, one of the greatest actresses of all times.
