Watching these 1970s shows, I can't help but wonder...
...any chance that thick shag carpet will ever come back in style? Or is it just too allergen-inducing?
I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!
Hewwo.

No. There's a reason why shag carpeting has never, ever come back in style after all these years, whereas other types of decor have. It was never attractive to begin with.

There are allot of decades whose decor and fashions should make a come back. The 70's is not one of them.
shareStoneware dishes on Formica kitchen counters,
Appliances in shades of Avocado and Harvest Gold,
Pine paneled walls decked with abstract paintings,
Latch hook rugs and pillows,
Molded plastic tables and chairs,
Sofas in earth tones in the sunken living room,
And....thick shag carpet in tones of bilious green and orange.
Ahhh--the seventies.
