JC: ' iF you girls think you've got trouble how would you like to be Dr Christian Bernards wife, when he gives you a Heart for Valentines Day its a real Heart....i just say things like that because it's a late night show, If I had funny stuff i would be on Prime time.
JC" Don Rickles sent me a Valentine , a 8x10 glossy of Willard the Rat."
JC:" I have a little poem for the occasion, Roses are red, Violets are blue, if you don't laugh at the Monologue, we send Tommie Newsome home with you. "
someone in the audience shouts out-"Its better than nothing." which Carson finds hysterical.it really seems to be audience participation night, as the Monologue was interrupted three different times.
JC:"Thats not what Mrs Newsome says."
JC:' valentines day is a very special day for Tommie and his wife, she leaned over him today and whispered those three special words: rest in peace."
