Johnny Yune
When Johnny Yune was a guest they said he had a new detective show that was due to start soon. The name of the show was Yu. Did this show get canceled before it even premiered? I can't find it on IMDB.

For the record, Johnny Yune himself has said that this episode made his career. Charlton Heston was the scheduled guest but he was running late so Yune's routine was extended, his interview went long, and he got to sing.
It's not a big claim to fame, but it pretty much led to his role in "They Call Me Bruce?" which did better than it should have and actually led to a sequel.
And all the horrible shows Johnny listed in the pilot sketch were real shows, he just picked the ones that had no chance of actually being picked up.

It was a pilot that was not picked up. It did air once. They used to air unsold pilots during the summertime.
I actually met Johnny Yune once in the 90s. Nice, quiet guy.
