Johnny IS so RIGHT...

you SHOULD wait until after Thanksgiving to start doing Christmas ads! As Ed said get Thanksgiving out-of-the-way first. Johnny heard or saw an Xmas ad in mid October.

At least this proves that retailers have been pulling the "Christmas ads in October" routine for over 35 years now. People act like pushing Christmas further and further back is some new idea but as you can see tonight, it's been going on for decades.

Unfortunately, it works, since it keeps happening.

You usually start to see Christmas ads or promos on the day after Halloween as if Thanksgiving doesn't even exist.

Yeah. And these days there is more talk of "Black Fryday" then there is of Thanksgiving.

Here's how I see Christmas.
At first it was started by the Pagans and was their holiday.
Then it was taken over by the Christians.
And now it is owned by the merchants.

Damn, I'm good.

Merry Christmas

The pagans celebrated a Winter Soltice, with traditions that worshipped the earth and snowballed into drunkenesses and other "merriment," but it is Christians who celebrate Christmas. It's been perverted overtime and became "Merry Christmas" overtime, now known as "happy holidays" to the politically correct modern-pagan crowd.
