Musical guests

Practically every night, but apparently because of legal issues, Antenna TV is obliged to edit them out. That's why Johnny will sometimes mention the musical guests coming up on the show at the end of the monologue, and if Antenna hasn't edited out the name of the musical performer already, that performer whose name is mentioned mysteriously doesn't appear on the show.

I've been watching a lot of the reruns, and can count on the fingers of one hand
the number of musical performances that have appeared since January. Even the "Stump the Band" segments, with audience members singing obscure songs, have had the songs cut out. I do remember one female singer, a Pete Fountain performance, elderly actor Burt Mustin performing a turn-of-the-century song that was probably in the public domain by the 1970s, and a few
performances by Doc and the band, but that's it.
