If you're watching a "Tonight Show" from the early to mid-1980s, "Alexander Haig" will most likely be the punchline of at least one joke. I wonder if there are a few dozen hits on his wikipedia page whenever his name is mentioned on an Antenna TV episode.

I'm constantly looking up people and events that Johnny mentions during the commercial breaks! It's like a mini-history lesson.

I'll bet a lot of people know who Euell Gibbons was only because they've had to look him up after hearing his name on the Tonight Shows from the 1970s.
