On the network colour dvd set of the saint, the episodes are not in their broadcast order, the sleeves of the cases confirms this as the transmission dates are on there, and they are out of sync. Why would network do this? I'm not overally concerned as its a minor thing, I'm just wondering whether there is a reason or not?

I haven't checked the dates, but such series were often broadcast in different territories in different orders, so at a guess I'd suggest Network went with either the broadcast order in the US (I'm guessing tht the listed dates are British) or, more likely, settled on the compromise of production order. As far as I can tell, ITV series weren't even necessarily broadcast in the same order throughout the UK in the early/mid 60s, although I doubt that was still the case by the time of the later episodes.
