This is Just James Bond the TV Show


Roger pretty much plays Bond in this show not that their is anything wrong with that except he is a Robin Hood as opposed to a secret agent

The first book in the James Bond series was published in 1953.
The first motion picture in The Saint series premiered in 1938, with The Saint in New York.
The first James Bond film premiered in 1962, with Dr. No.

James Bond is just The Saint Redux.

There really isn't much similarity stylistically. The Saint, especially the early episodes, often have an almost noir feel, and Moore is pretty tough.

Looking at those early episodes its a pity in a way that he didn't get to play Bond sooner. His Simon Templar is often a tougher, more ruthless character. By the time Moore played Bond his image had considerably softened and it was that that he most often brought to Bond.

couldn't agree with you more(pun intended), grambax. I am watching the black and white episodes and he is tougher and the fights are agressive and almost spontaneous.
