Possible episode?

I seem to recall that there was an episode in color that had an ending similar to the ending of the movie, "Thunderball." In this episode, Templar and a woman are on board a plane that has landed on the ocean. Also on board was this timid man that reminded me of Professor Kutze from the "Thunderball" movie, and I recall him having a mustache. This Kutze character was quite frightened when the plane began to sink, because he said he couldn't swim. The woman helped this guy get into a lifejacket, and then they both went to the door of the plane where the woman then coaxed him to jump into the water. Immediately after the guy jumped into the water, the woman ran back into the plane to join Templar.

A few moments later, the plane began to sink. Templar and the woman then ran to the door of the plane, where at that point Templar pulled out a small object from inside his suitcoat; which turned out to be an inflatable liferaft. Templar pulled a cord attached to the raft, and it immediately began to inflate. Once the raft was completely inflated, Templar helped the woman get into it. Before getting in himself, Templar ran back into the plane and grabbed a bottle of champagne(?) from the plane's bar. He then ran back to the door and got into the raft. Once he was in the raft, he showed the bottle to the woman and said, "I can't leave this behind."

A few moments later, the plane sank beneath the surface of the water. Templar and the woman floated on the raft, and drank a toast from the bottle. Suddenly, a helicopter flew in and hovered above them. The pilot lowered a harness down to them and they both got into it. The helicopter then flew away with both of them dangling from the harness, and that--from what I can recall--is how it ended.

Was the scene described above (or anything remotely similar to it) an episode from this series? Or am I thinking of an entirely different series, or even a movie? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!
