in mid seventies i recall seeing another tv series the saint i recall an opening sequence with saint stick figure running arounf on live back ground and then hoping into a speeding convertible

but for life of me i do not recall if the series was made or it was a promo

making you angry makes me very happy and fuzzy inside

You're right. It starred Ian Ogilvy, and it only ran for one series.
