About 'Judy's Birthday Surprise'....she was a brat!

Does anybody else think Judy was a real brat in that episode? More bratty and self-centered than usual? I mean I know the plot of the episode is her thinking everybody has forgotten her birthday when in fact they've all been planning it in secret, and this could've been a great opportunity to feel sentiment towards Miss Jetson, but instead they made her into brat. Like, when that geeky guy helped her out when her car broke down, she didn't even thank him and then just decided to ignore him out of her social conscience. The whole time her attitude is just "me, me, me". But at the end of it all when she finally does have a party, does she take the time to thank everybody (and I do mean EVERYBODY) for bothering to throw a party for a self-centered brat like her or realize how selfish she was? No. Now, I like Judy, I admit I do, but in this episode, she was just far too greedy.

I also realize this is only a cartoon and I may be overanalyzing this, but I'm just saying this episode could've been the perfect opportunity to build on Judy's character and been told from the heart, but instead they made her into a self-centered brat whom you didn't care if her birthday was celebrated or not.

Who else agrees?

I read that review you did of that episode..I actually like it but I agree....btw it reminded me a LOT of an episode of the original 166 Flintstones 1960s episodes, the pre-Pebbles Season 3 one, about Fred expecting a birthday party for him and Barney constantly taking him for some sightseeing until the party's ready (one of the best...it's one of the oldest that remained with original credits and 1960s-70s Hanna-Barbera lettering instead of their parent at that time, Screen Gems's lettering...and it ends like Judy's Birthday Surprise (1985) did!

And "Judy's Birthday Surprise" actually shows that Judy can hold her own with the others and they made good use of her...
