What Tom Mix film did Jed and Cousin Pearl See?

In the pilot film Cousin Pearl reminded Jed of the time Jed's father took them to see a movie in Eureka Springs.

Buddy Ebsen was born in 1908 and turned 54 in 1962, and Bea Benaderet was born in 1906 and turned 56 in 1962. And I guess that Jed Clampett and Pearl Bodine looked about the same age as their actors.

So Jed & Pearl should have been adults and possibly have had their own households by the time that silent movies were largely replaced by sound movies in 1929.

They should have had the use of horses and buggies or riding mules by then. And as poor country people they should have been used to walking 5 or 10, 15 or 20, miles a day.

So I guess that Jed's father probably took them to see a movie in the 1910s when they were kids instead of the 1920s when they were teens or young adults or the 1930s when they were grown and probably married already.

Later, talking with Mr. Brewster about moving to Beverly Hills, they were told that movie stars lived in Beverly HIlls, and they asked if Tom Mix from the movie they saw lived there. Mr. Brewster said that Tom Mix was dead and they said that's right he died at the end of the movie.

Tom Mix was in 282 movies from 1909 to 1940 and may have become a movie star as early as 1914.

And maybe an expert on silent western movies would know which movies, if any, Tom Mix's character dies in, movies which could possibly be the one Jed and Pearl saw.
