What's the issue with the stalling of DVD releases for BH?

As well as Petticoat Junction and Green Acres?

For BH, they've stalled after four seasons (out of nine). For PJ, after three (out of seven), for GA, after three (out of six).

Why?

reply

Maybe because sales weren't high enough for the episodes they've released? I don't know. I DO know that I've bought all that have been released and will absolutely buy the whole series if it ever is released. Green Acres too.

I bought the first three seasons of the series, thinking all of the episodes were on the DVDs. But, they weren't, there were selected episodes, not the entire seasons. I was dissappointed.

I'm confused how that could be.

The MPI sets volumes 1 and 2 contain the entire first season and part of the second season except for the Christmas episodes which were released on a separate disc. And except for the first episode as aired. Only the unaired pilot is available on it.

The Official season sets contained the entire second season, the entire third season, and the entire fourth season.

And now, the official first season is finally out supposedly containing the entire first episode. I'm not sure, but am hoping that the first episode is on there as aired also, instead of just the unaired pilot.

The first season's episodes were all there, but, I was looking for the episode of the Clampetts going to court, (I think that was in the 3rd season), but it wasn't on there, and when Jed and Granny went on a double date with this senior playboy, and a woman that he called his Aunt, though she was much younger than he was.

If it was the mpi version, they weren't.

Not only did the mpi version leave out the 1'st season Christmas episode (and 2'nd season Christmas episode as well), it also left out the first episode as aired.

Only the extended version of the 1'st episode is available on the mpi version, which contradicts some of the later episodes because of what is in the extended parts.

I finally received my copy of "The Official First Season" and it has both the extended version and the first episode as originally aired. yay!

the episodes except one are as originally aired.

Or close to it.

Anyways, except for one episode, they all seem to be complete.

However, I'm not sure about any possible music changes yet.

As there were on some of my other season sets. (though I don't remember if that was on the mpi or official sets, but I think there was one on the official sets that I know didn't sound like the real music used on the show, but I'm not sure if that was on my mpi set or my official season set.

Until I rewatch them again.
