Granny in flying car
I vaguely remember an episode where Granny is up in the air in a car or some flying contraption that Jethro built, and it cuts off and crashes. Does anybody remember this episode or know the title?
I remember the episode, and I am pretty sure the title is "Flatt and Scruggs Return". Jethro turned the truck into a helicopter by attaching a giant blade to the top. The idea would be to avoid traffic jams. Granny is in the front seat when Jethro starts up the truck and the truck rises, and then she accidentally switches off the motor and the truck comes crashing down. She was oK but the truck wheels got bent out of shape.
The episode is also noteworthy for Mr. Drysdale firing Ms. Hathaway for a misunderstanding. Later she auditions to be a folk singer (with Lester's wife Gladys) for Flatt and Scruggs. As I recall they sang "The Wreck of the Old '97".

sharePpl call Jethro an idiot, BUT you'd have to be pretty brilliant to even make something like that WORK.
It seems an idea like that would be expanded on by companies.
