Anyone else?

She does it in the stage version too.

Yeah, that was Natalie's best scene. I can forgive her for a lot for that scene.

It was an extremely intense, heart-rending scene, and yet a beautiful addition/ending to a beautifully intense movie/classic.

For me, it's right up there with "She knows! She knows!" in The Miracle Worker (I'm a teacher, so those are "moved by joy" tears),

and

"I want my father back, you son of a b----" from The Princess Bride.

Tears -- every time.

Yup. I'm a 55yo man and I've seen this movie dozens of times since it first came out. The ending with Natalie's speech and Bernstein's music gets me every time.

I'm a woman in her mid 60's, who, although I missed seeing the film West Side Story during the heyday of its popularity and newness, has more than made up for it by seeing it many times since seeing the film around Christmastime of 1968, as a high school Senior, during a national re-release of the film West Side Story, after falling in love with this film from the get-go.

After all these years, West Side Story still tugs at my heartstrings, also.

Sometimes I've seen it with family/friends, and sometimes (probably more often than not.) I see it solo.

Watched for the first time last night and my eyes did get a little steamy at the end.

You was my brother, Charley. You shoulda looked out for me a little bit. - Terry Malloy

For me, it's the most powerful raw moment in movie.Any thoughts of a bad accent, lip syncing... Whatever.... Natalie wood is truly moving and wonderful!

That moment, and also when she takes the gun from Chino and points it at both gangs, talking about how now she can hate.
