I do think, however, that Anybodys, too was a very strong individual, because she ultimately got accepted as an equal by the Jets due to her persistence and perseverance.
Anybodys was a strong character too. I didn't think of her as she was not in the film that much.
The female characters in the film were much stronger than the males in the film.
Your point about the female characters in the film West Side Story being stronger than the male characters is a good one, tarantula_arms.
Anybody definitely is a strong character, but I think that she was in the film quite a bit, and that she was very memorable.
